The Hope State was conceived in Los Angeles, California, born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and is currently being raised in Toronto, Ontario. Themes of love, death, addiction, loss and regret are at the forefront of Taylor Johnson’s writing. Painfully honest lyrics sung over somber melodies are present in every song The Hope State are able to belt out before collapsing.
