Hello folks, as some of you will likely have suspected, we want to officially announce that this event will be postponed. We know that we have a huge community of supporters and this night is usually very well attended, this could mean a large gathering of folks that is not advisable at this time. We want to first thank all the musicians who have spent hours learning, rehearsing, and preparing for this show, we are so grateful to you!! We want to put their 90’s music to good use at a future date, hopefully late April or May, depending of course on the health situation at that time. Since this postponing does not have a clear end in sight, and as this is the season when we actively fundraise for our programming, this could potentially have a very negative impact on our revenue and therefore expenses. We are kindly asking if everyone who planned to attend, would consider their finances and if they’d be willing, to donate the $10 we were charging for cover directly to GRS. This would mean a lot to us and help us be as fiscally responsible as possible. For everyone who is making a point of staying home, please consider more generally how you might still contribute to our local economy by supporting local businesses and non-profits during this time. We know we are just one of many groups cancelling events, perhaps you’re able to send a few dollars to charities and non-profits being adversely affected, stop by a shop on non-peak hours to pick up supplies for your hibernating, or make use of delivery options (and tip those drivers!). We are all in this together on a regular basis, but times like these remind us how truly interconnected we really are. Let’s look out for one another as best we can. With love, from the Girls Rock Saskatoon team <3 https://www.girlsrocksaskatoon.ca/donate-index-impact It's the Girls Rock Saskatoon annual Cover Night fundraiser!
