Forming in the summer of 2014, The North Sound has been working hard to shape their sound into what has become an original take on folk, rock and Alternative genres. Their big open sound can only be described as truly Canadian.
LJ Tyson is a singer/songwriter from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Although he is young in years his song writing skills have not gone unnoticed. He has won the EA Rawlinson Centre Songwriter of the Year Award, he has been commissioned by the city of Prince Albert to write original music for a video highlighting the culture of the city, and he has charted on the Indigenous Music Countdown (Formerly the National Aboriginal Music Countdown). Not bad for a 23 year old!
