A new up-and-comer, Zweii refuses to restrict and conform himself when it comes to the genre of his music.
tones of alternative Dancehall, Hip-Hop, Raggaeton, and a touch of R&B, all fall under the umbrella of Zweii’s sound.
He aims to tell a story with his music, to take the listener on a journey to feel the tale that is being told.
Zweii’s first single ‘Hasanna’ accomplishes this goal by pulling you into the world he created with a smooth cadence and hypnotic baseline.
The inspiration for Hasanna comes from his personal experiences in and out of love as well as dreams and aspirations held at the time.
Music has meant different things to me at different phases in life. I’m Oluwarotimi, I’m an artist from Nigeria.
From reciting gospel raps to listening to Lil Wayne to freestyling in the classroom to eventually making songs.
I draw inspiration from many genres. Hip Hop, electronic music, wavy afro beats, moody RnB and a plethora of artists from Drake to Lana Del Ray.
So if you’re reading this, I’m truly thankful that you’re here. I intend to keep in touch with you on these songs. And if sanity never returns to the world, i hope these words, hooks, and melodies can bring you an iota of peace in these times “
