We say hello to another community stage and wave goodbye to Dash Reimer, one of our faves and a true pillar of the Saskatoon spoken word community. Come on out and celebrate along with Dash – and some members of his “extended family”!
Dash Reimer has performed across three continents and still hasn’t settled down. He is an artist and educator working within both hip hop and spoken word communities. He is part of the organizing team for Write Out Loud, Saskatoon’s youth spoken word series, as well as one half of both Compact Disk (a spoken word duo that has gone on to perform their Fringe Show at the Regina Fringe) and Unrelated (a newly formed blues/folk/hip hop duo). He has opened for Buddy Wakefield, been Saskatoon’s slam champion in 2014, toured South Africa and done very intimate performances for family members when peer pressured at family gatherings. He is more than excited (and a little nervous) to share some words with you.
Sign-up for the community stage will be available starting at 7:30 PM at the door. Please limit your reading to one poem or 5 minutes out of respect for the space you share with others.
