Tonight It’s Poetry
June 17th // Amigos Cantina
$5 // 19+ // 8 PM
Saskatoon — Treaty 6 Territory — Home of the Métis People

Join us for a Pride-themed community stage hosted by Zoey Pricelys Roy! Sign-up begins at the door at 7:30 PM. We’ll be joined by the effervescent and super talanted poet yes!

yes is a radical queer feminist and migrant based in tkaronto, colonially known as toronto. they believe in the destruction of the heteropatriarchy, borders, capitalism, and the police state. they come to poetry through the cuban traditions of being a dramatic lover and never shutting up.
as an organizer and member of community, they’re committed to the Spoken Word Canada board, Voices of Today festival organizing committee, and One Mic Educators 2.0 program. yes’s poetry is a blend of vulnerable rage and self-celebrating humour. their intention is to learn so loudly that others have no choice but to follow suit, and just they’re so stoked for our collective growth. also they’ve won some slams and stuff, but the points aren’t the point – the poetry is forevermore the point.
