Tired Cossack began as a solo music project by Stephen Levko Halas in Winnipeg, Canada. Since 2020, Tired Cossack has released two EPs and two full-length albums, and added a talented backing band. Their audience and reach quickly grew, from playing house shows, to opening for touring musicians, to headlining sold out shows. Their music is best defined as indie rock, but contains elements of post-punk, shoegaze, darkwave, alt-country, folk, grunge, and more.
